Caballo Bravo Longhorns began in 2006 with just a few Longhorns purchased as pasture ornaments. They now purchase and breed Longhorns for great confirmation, color, gentle disposition and lots of horn. They prefer Longhorns that are medium to large framed and consider sound udders and milking ability to be one of the most important traits in the breed to improve on.

With generations on farming in Leslie Stickley's family, she had always hoped to have her own farm one day while growing up. With a herd of Holstein's at home, the Stickley's decided to invest in four Longhorns bought from G&G Longhorns in 2017 and have been growing since. They love raising their Longhorns at their Southwest Virginia ranch and look forward to continuing to build relationships with other breeders.

Avocado toast may be trending but there are easier ways to get your avocado fix than spending $12 on a slice of bread. Avocados are a brain and heart-healthy fruit. They help with digestion and high-cholesterol as well as have been proven to prohibit growth of prostate cancer. As a healthy fat and yummy addition to most meals, it's no wonder avocados deserve their own day. For National Avocado Day, we're sharing our favorite ways to eat avocado, including avocado brownies and a guacamole recipe that is Hired Hand Team approved.
