Did you catch these three new Longhorn websites when we announced them on social media earlier this year? Now's your chance to learn a little more about T Bar W Ranch, Lazy J Longhorns and Smith-Harris Century Ranch. Each ranch has a special story about their start and are passionate about their breeding programs.

In 2008, Rebecca received two Longhorn steers as an anniversary gift, beginning what is now the Longhorn herd of T Bar W Ranch. They credit the success of their herd growth and health to the climate, pastures and ponds of the East Texas Piney Woods.

The Wamplers have carefully chosen animals that breed horn and gentle temperaments as they strive to continue building a tradition in the Longhorn industry. They are looking forward to introducing their sexed embryo program in the near future that will allow T Bar W Ranch to further define the Longhorn traits they desire.

This Kansas Ranch is home to Lazy J's Bluegrass, the Guinness World Record Holder of Longest Horn Spread on a Steer. You can see a video of him right on their homepage. Joe Sedlacek credits his success to the genetics developed during 19 years of raising longhorns. Congratulations to the Sedlaceks for their new record!

Hired Hand designed the website for Lazy J Longhorns, as well as their logo. This logo does a great job of displaying what this ranch is all about: great horn length based in Kansas.

When rebuilding their commercial herd after the 2007 drought, Rhonda decided to test the ease of owning Longhorns. Since then, everyone at the Smith-Harris Century Ranch has fallen in love with the breed.

This ranch can be traced back through the Smith-Harris family lines to 1889. They are proud to have such a history on the same plot of land in Jack County, Texas. Although Longhorns have not been a part of all of that history, Ron and Rhonda are committed to starting a new tradition at the ranch: "We continuously work to develop healthy, marketable cattle that will produce valuable offspring for their owners over many years."
