"Nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, Arroyo Blanco Ranch was established in 2015. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to be stewards of this land and we seek to honor the heritage of those who lived and worked to build and preserve it. Longhorn cattle are a fundamental piece of that heritage – the combination of natural selection and a rugged environment produced a breed of cattle that is sturdy, curious and intelligent – a long productive life and ease of birthing (combined with strong maternal instincts) make longhorns perfect cattle for professional breeders and novice owners. We acquired our first registered longhorn cows in 2019 and haven’t looked back since then! We seek to breed longhorn cattle with great dispositions, twisty horns and solid frames – hardy, gentle cattle that preserve a link to our history and look forward to the future.
We also have a herd of approximately 100 beef cattle – our foundation cows are F-1 Braford tiger stripes and a new group of beautiful young Beefmaster cows. We are experimenting with crossing our beef cows with Waygu and Golden Certified bulls to produce superior beef cattle for the market."
