"Many of you know the jeans, but now see the inspiration behind the brand!
Kimes Ranch, the clothing company, was created in March 2009. Matt and Amanda Kimes created the brand, and the inspiration behind their iconic logo was the Texas Longhorn. Matt and Amanda owned two longhorns at that time, Betty and Barney. If ya know, ya know! Betty, sadly, passed early on. Barney, however, lived to be 12 years old. He lived his days enjoying the sun and taking daily naps on Kimes Ranch.
After the passing of Barney, Matt and Amanda decided to purchase more longhorns. It has quickly become a passion. The herd is always growing, changing and evolving.
Matt and Amanda grew up in the horse industry. Raising longhorn cattle is similar. They have enjoyed breeding, raising and learning all about the breed. The goal for Kimes Ranch Longhorns is to breed and raise quality Longhorn cattle. They want to help grow an industry that has helped them grow their brand."
