Converting to a Hired Hand Website

by Laura Huff | Nov 11, 2015
Hired Hand is not only capable of building websites, but we can also convert your current Longhorn or Whitetail website to be 'powered' by us! Would this benefit your ranch? YES!

Here's how:
  1. By converting to Hired Hand, your herd well be connected to the other animals owned by Hired Hand customers. Pedigrees become much more interactive as your Longhorns and Whitetails are linked to other relevant animals.
  2. Hired Hand websites are easy to update. We set it all up for our customers, then teach them to make changes and additions as they see fit. You can add new animals, photos and information all on your own after our quick training.
  3. All Longhorns and Whitetails are easily transferable between Hired Hand website customers. If you buy or sell an animal, a few quick clicks with your mouse will transfer the animal to the correct ranch's website.
  4. Your current design can be adapted "as is" to our system so you can keep the look you love.
All of the websites below were converted by us to the Hired Hand system. Check out how each is using the new technology to their advantage!

Shady Lane Longhorns
James and Mary Clark, Kansas City, Missouri

Shady Lane Longhorns

The Longhorn program at Shady Lane began back in 2005, focused on raising lean beef. They have since moved their attention to horn length and continue to keep their herd small, but packed with great genetics.

Each year they carefully choose a new sire to work with and look forward to a fresh batch of calves with the breeding they planned out. The Clarks still seek out genetics that will provide a full body along with the horn the industry is known for.

End of Trail Ranch
Mike and Debbie Bowman, Benton, Kansas

End of Trail Ranch

End of Trail Ranch is a well-known name in the Longhorn industry. This program usually has around 300 cows and heifers of breeding age on hand and plenty of notable herd sires. A program this large is hard to ignore!

To sustain all of these Longhorns, Kansas provides them rich bluestem grass for grazing. Mike and debbie are proud of their Midwest roots and enjoy sharing their breeding with others around the country.

Searle Ranch
Stan and Lorna Searle, Monument, Colorado
Gary and Donna Lake, Calhan, Colorado

Searle Ranch

Searle Ranch genetics have been refined to bring out a desired combination of color, horn, meat quality and disposition. The Searles and Lakes have been working on this breeding program for over 4 decades and remain as enthusiastic as the day they began.

This ranch is also dedicated to introducing Longhorns to people outside the industry. Each year, the cattle are driven through the Downtown Trail Drive in Denver in front of a crowd of about 40,000. Also in the media you will find a Searle Ranch Bull, Shoot Em Up (aka Larimer), who has been a promotional part of Denver Mayor Michael Hancock's Ballot initiative 2C.
